DHS published the CFATS RBPS Guidance document in final form in May 2009. The 194-page document was developed to assist covered facilities in selecting possible measures to satisfy each RBPS, taking into account a facility’s specific risk tier. Although it has been more than 12 years since DHS first published this document, it has not been updated since initial publication.
Previously, DHS had requested and received public comments based on the Draft (Fall 2008) version of the RBPS Guidance. A summary of these comments along with DHS responses accompanied the Final RBPS Guidance release.
