Aaron Rice is a security consultant with a focus on federal security regulation of chemical and petrochemical facilities. He works closely with clients on regulatory and compliance matters involving the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA), Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) requirements, the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS), and hazardous material transportation matters.
Prior to joining the Roberts Law Group / Chemical Security Group, Aaron served for over 20 plus years in the United States Coast Guard (USCG). During his time in the USCG, he became a subject matter expert on both MTSA and the safety regulations governing the handling and transfer of hazardous material within the coastal zone of the United States. In addition to his regulatory compliance enforcement role, Aaron served as a critical part of the disaster response efforts to major natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy, and, most recently, Hurricane Harvey.
